The product
What am I paying for?+
Real-time access to the pending picks of the fifteen highest-ranked sports handicappers we track. When an Index capper posts a pick, you see the game, the selection, the price, and the recommended stake in units. Historical picks are public for everyone.
How many cappers are tracked in total?+
Fifteen in the Index at any given time. Up to fifteen more in the Farm league. We review Farm applications weekly but keep the total roster capped at thirty to preserve the quality of the ranking signal.
What sports do you cover?+
NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NCAA football and basketball, UFC, and global soccer. Cappers are free to focus on whatever sport they’re sharpest in — the ranking doesn’t reward breadth, it rewards units won.
Do you tell me exactly what bet to place?+
We show you the capper’s exact submitted selection, the price they posted at, and their unit stake. Whether you copy the play, adjust the sizing, or pass on it entirely is your decision. We are an information service, not a bet broker.
Trust and verification
How do I know the picks are real and not back-tested?+
Every pick is server-side timestamped when the capper submits it, and has to be in our system at least one hour before the game starts. Anything submitted inside the one-hour window is auto-voided. The timestamp is immutable and visible on the pick’s permalink.
What stops a capper from gaming the ranking?+
Three things. First, the eligibility floor: a capper needs 20+ graded picks to qualify for the INDEX and 10+ to qualify for the Farm — you can’t cherry-pick a handful of winners and ride them up the ladder. Second, the composite weighting: units won dominates the formula, so chasing heavy favorites to pad win rate doesn’t help. Third, the Cut Day mechanic: every Sunday night, INDEX cappers below the merit cutoff are demoted to the Farm regardless of historical performance, so coasting on a past hot streak is not a strategy.
What happens if a graded result is wrong?+
Email admin@capperindex.com with the pick ID and the disputed outcome. Every pick lists the book of record and the posted closing line we graded against, so disputes resolve from the data rather than opinion. Corrections are applied with a public audit entry on the capper’s profile.
Can I apply to become a capper?+
Yes. Email admin@capperindex.com with your track record, betting style, and unit system if you have one. We will follow up if we believe you might be a good fit. Full details on the Apply page.
Subscription and billing
How much does it cost?+
$49.99/month, or $499/year (that’s $41.58/mo — about 17% off). One tier, everything included. Full details on the pricing page.
Is there a free trial?+
Yes — three days, free. You provide a payment method up front so the subscription can roll over into paid access on day four, but you can cancel any time during the trial and you won’t be charged. Details on the pricing page.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes. You can cancel your subscription from the billing portal at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access through the period you already paid for.
Do you offer refunds?+
We don’t offer pro-rated refunds on partial months, because picks delivered mid-period are information you can’t give back. If you feel you were charged in error — duplicate billing, a renewal you didn’t intend — write to admin@capperindex.com and we’ll sort it out.
What happens if one of my favorite cappers gets cut mid-week?+
Tier changes only happen on Sunday night at midnight Pacific. Once a capper is in the Index for a given week, they stay there until Cut Day. Their picks feed the subscriber product for the full week regardless of how their numbers evolve. If they drop to the Farm on the next Cut Day, their pending picks stop appearing in the subscriber feed the instant the new week starts, but their full history remains public on their profile — and they can climb back.
Legal and responsible use
Is this legal in my state?+
CapperIndex is a content and performance-tracking service. We don’t take wagers and we don’t operate a sportsbook, so we are not a regulated gambling service. Whether you can legally act on our information by placing a bet depends on your jurisdiction. We don’t geo-block anyone, but it’s your responsibility to know the laws where you live and play.
Are these picks guaranteed to win?+
No. Nothing on this site is guaranteed. Every handicapper on our roster has had losing months, and most serious handicappers win long-term on thin margins. The entire reason we publish a ranking is so you can see exactly what margin each capper is operating at. If you are looking for guaranteed returns, you are in the wrong market.
Is this financial advice?+
No. Nothing on CapperIndex is financial, investment, or tax advice. We are an entertainment and information service. Sports betting is not an investment; the expected value for the typical bettor is negative.
What if I have a gambling problem?+
Please call 1-800-GAMBLER or visit ncpgambling.org. We will close your subscription on request with no further questions. Email admin@capperindex.com.
How old do I have to be to use this?+
21+. By using CapperIndex you’re confirming you are of legal age to view sports-wagering content in your jurisdiction.
